Tips for Making the Perfect Chicken Afritada with Pork

  • Browning the chicken and pork adds depth of flavor to the dish. Make sure to brown the meat well on all sides.
  • Simmering the meat with the tomatoes and onions allows the flavors to meld together. Be sure to simmer the meat until it is halfway cooked to ensure that it is tender and flavorful.
  • Adding the potatoes and bell peppers towards the end of cooking ensures that they are cooked through but still retain their shape and texture.
  • Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed to suit your taste preferences.
