How to Cook Chicken Wings with Honey-Orange Glaze

This recipe is fried chicken wings coated with honey orange sauce.

  • 12 pieces chicken wings rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 Tbsp. liquid seasonings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 Tbsp. five spice powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 cup cooking oil for deep frying

Honey-Orange Glaze:

  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp. grated ginger
  • 1/2 Tbsp. grated orange zest
  • 1/2 cup orange-flavored honey
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. fish sauce


How to cook Chicken Wings:

  • Season chicken wings with liquid seasoning and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together flour, five spice powder, salt and pepper.
  • Coat wings well with the flour mixture. Set aside.
  • Heat oil over medium heat in a small saucepan.
  • Fry wings for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
  • Place fried chicken wings in batches in the pan with the glaze ( see recipe below) and toss to fully coat wings with the glaze.

How to make Honey-Orange Glaze:

  • In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. add ginger and saute for about 1 minute.
  • Add grated orange zest, honey, chili sauce and fish sauce,
  • Simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes.
