Ingredients

  • 1/4 kilo ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup turnips chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrots chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pc onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 pc whole egg

Ingredients for the Coating:

  • 1 pc whole egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil for frying

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper ground

Instructions

How to cook Savory Beef Meat Balls:

  • In a medium sized bowl, combine beef, salt and pepper.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Shape 2 teaspoons of mixture into balls and arrange in a baking tray.
  • Dip each mixture in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
  • Pan fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with warm sauce.
  • To make the sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients listed above.
  • Then simmer in a saucepan for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
