Notes

Cooking Tips of Chicken Sprite with Oyster Sauce:
  1. Properly season the chicken: When preparing Chicken Sprite with Oyster Sauce, make sure to season the chicken well with salt and pepper before cooking. This step enhances the overall flavor of the dish and ensures that the chicken is seasoned both on the skin and inside the cavity.
  2. Sear the chicken for added depth: Before simmering the chicken in the Sprite and oyster sauce mixture, take the time to sear the chicken in hot cooking oil. This step helps to lock in the juices and adds a delicious depth of flavor to the dish. The golden brown sear adds visual appeal as well.
  3. Simmer until tender: To achieve tender and succulent chicken, allow the chicken to simmer in the Sprite and oyster sauce mixture for an appropriate amount of time. The initial simmer of 20 minutes helps the chicken absorb the flavors, while the second simmer of another 20 minutes or until tender ensures that the meat is fully cooked and soft. Be patient during this step to achieve the desired texture.
