Hawaiian Meat Loaf

A simple meat loaf recipe that can also be served on special occasions. There is also no need for any special kitchen equipment to cook this dish. In fact you don’t need an oven to make this Hawaiian meat loaf. Steaming is the only cooking method required.

To cook Hawaiian meat loaf; In a bowl, mix all ingredients except the pineapple. Set aside. Boil the pineapple juice and brown sugar until thick or reduced to half. Pour syrup in a loaf pan and place the pineapple slices. Transfer meat mixture in this pan and cover with aluminium foil or wax paper. Steam for an hour than cool and remove from the loaf pan. Slice and serve. Ingredients
  • ½ kilo ground pork
  • 2 slices sweet ham, chopped
  • 1 pc red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¼ cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ⅓ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. fine salt
  • 1 slice pineapple, sliced
To make the syrup
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Instructions
How to cook Hawaiian Meat Loaf:
  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except the pineapple. Set aside.

  3. Pour syrup in a loaf pan and place the pineapple slices.
  4. Transfer meat mixture in this pan and cover with aluminium foil or wax paper.
