Ingredients
  • ¼ kilo ground beef
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black ground pepper
  • ¼ cup turnips, chopped
  • ¼ cup carrots, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pc onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 pc whole egg
Ingredients for the Coating:
  • 1 pc whole egg
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup cooking oil for frying
Ingredients for the sauce:
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ⅛ tsp. black pepper, ground

How to cook Savory Beef Meat Balls:
  1. In a medium sized bowl, combine beef, salt and pepper.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape 2 teaspoons of mixture into balls and arrange in a baking tray.
  4. Dip each mixture in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
  5. Pan fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with warm sauce.
  6. To make the sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients listed above.
  7. Then simmer in a saucepan for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
